Fall Farm Share 2025

What is a Farm Share?

Tired of lackluster grocery store offerings that often fall short of their overpriced items or sell you rotten food?
You should consider Aslan Organics’ Farm Share program.

The Farm Share program is a haven for those seeking the freshest, most flavorful produce available, straight from the fields to their tables. With our Farm Share program, you're not just purchasing produce; you're investing in a whole new way of thinking about fresh local food. Our members enjoy discounted pricing and premier access to our entire product range, with some exclusive items reserved solely for their enjoyment. From the crispy fresh crunch of our salad mix to the earthy sweetness of freshly picked beets, our Farm Share members are always first in line to savor the delights of the season's bounty.

What we offer in our boxes: We're honing in on what you love and what thrives on our farm. This year, we're prioritizing popular items like salad mix, arugula, and wellness blend for our greens. Our irresistibly sweet carrots, salad turnips, and flavourful radishes are consistent hits. The demand for our fresh beets and their divine greens continually astonishes us. Whether you're drawn to the vibrant colours of our heirloom tomatoes or the tender crunch of our summer cabbage, there's something to delight every palate within our diverse selection. Last year we offered a selection of over 30 items to our members!

How it works: Each week, collect a “box” of veggies from our farm here in Camlachie, or from the Sarnia Farmers Market. We send an email two days prior to pick up with what is in season that week. Then, meet us at the farm or market and customize your box—your choice, every week.

How the Farm Share helps your farmers: The Farm Share program operates on a model of mutual support and sustainability. Your upfront membership payment ensures we can accurately plan out our farming season: that way we know how many seeds to plant and how many rows of crops to plan for. It covers essential costs such as compost, seeds, soil amendments, and necessary equipment upgrades. Additionally, your membership helps alleviate the significant expenses we encounter while establishing and expanding our budding farm in Ontario. This includes investments in infrastructure like hoop houses, irrigation systems, and a more permanent wash station, all of which are vital for our continued growth and sustainability.

When is the Farm Share: The 2025 Fall Farm Share season spans from October 17th to November 7th, providing members with a bountiful box of fall veggies for 4 weeks. Boxes are available for collection on Friday evenings from 4pm to 7pm at our farm (3107 Michigan Line), or on Saturdays from 7am to 1pm at the Sarnia Farmers Market (110 Proctor St). If you anticipate missing a week or two, you can always send a friend or family member in your place to collect your box!

“We’ve done Farm Share programs with other farms before, but what we love about Aslan’s program is that I’m in complete control of my share. I get to choose what I want in my Farm Share, every week. I didn’t get to do that with other programs.” -Sue V. 2023 Farm Share Member

Why choose our program: You will love our program because the flavour and freshness of our food speaks for itself. Grown in living soil with beyond organic methods, our produce reaches peak ripeness without synthetic chemicals. Through weekly pickups, members have the opportunity to connect with fellow food enthusiasts, share recipe ideas, and exchange tips for getting the most out of their seasonal bounty. Additionally, visits to the farm provide a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the beauty of sustainable agriculture, from the lush fields where your produce thrives to the seasonal rhythms that govern our farming practices.

We invite you to join our Farm Share and become part of a thriving community dedicated to health, wellness, and conscious eating. By joining, you'll be welcomed into our farm family: sharing in our commitment to quality and sustainability while enjoying the freshest produce around.

What’s expected?

Fall brings with it an abundance of storage items. Think things like onions, carrots, beets, garlic, leeks, cabbages. These types of things tend to hand around much longer in the fridge, and will make up a majority of the items available for this 4 week fall box. But also anticipate a large selection of our greens: Salad Mixes, Arugula, Wellness, Lettuce Heads. There’s going to be a ton of selection.

How much does it get you?

A $35 share will get you anywhere from 5-8 different regular items on our shelf. Many of our items are $5, but some are a bit pricier, like Salad Mix which costs $7/bag. No matter how many items you choose, what’s beneficial about our Farm Share is that you get to choose everything that’s in your share for each week. Need more than $35? No problem. Just pay us the difference.

Where can I get it?

Like our Summer Farm Share program, we will offer Friday Night pick ups here at the farm from 4p-7p. We will also offer Saturday pick-ups at the Sarnia Farmers Market from 7a-1p. You just show up, grab your list for each week, and start making your selections. Everyone is always surprised by the fact that they have to return to grade school skills and do some simple math on their sheets, so you’ve officially been warned. hehe.
